Rocky Mountain Goat Hunts

Our goat hunting areas are units 102 and 103 in the Ruby Mountains. World class goats have been harvested in the Rubies over the past 20 years and some outstanding trophies are still available to the lucky hunters that draw the permit. We have hunted goats with friends and family here for the past ten years and know the area well. 2011 will be the first year guiding has been allowed on the West side of unit 102, from Lamoille Canyon South to Harrison Pass in the past 6 years. We are very excited to be able to offer our clients this unique opportunity to hunt this area on a guided hunt. Our hunts consist of 5 days of hunting for your once in a lifetime NV Mtn. Goat. We use hiking and horses to get into and around goat country and our camps consist of comfortable wall and dome tents. The area that goats reside can be very difficult to access, however the Ruby Mountains have decent trails to get us in the right areas. Being in good to great physical condition is a must to experience a successful goat hunt. Goats are also a very durable animal and we recommend using at least a .300 caliber to harvest your trophy. Weather conditions in the Ruby Mountains can change by the minute and hunters should be prepared for just about anything from 80 degree heat to 20 degree blowing snow.
